The climate in Brazil is mostly tropical, but temperate in the south.

A biome is a specific environment that's home to plants and animals suited for that place and climate. Brazil is home six biomes.

The Amazon is the world's largest rainforest. Most of Brazilian wildlife is found in the Amazon.

The Cerrado region is a vast tropical savanna. It is the largest savanna region in South America. In its wooded grasslands and shrubbery large mammals can be found, jaguars, maned wolves, and giant anteaters.

The Caatinga is in the northeast of Brazil. It consist of dry lands and forest composed of stunted trees and thorny bushes.

The Pampa has dry grasslands and is a good area for raising cattle.

Pantanal is in the far west, along the border with Paraguay and Bolivia, It is a swampy area enclosed by mountains, one of the most extensive swamplands in the world.

The Atlantic region is located in a mountainous region near the Atlantic Ocean. It is the most populated with two of Brazil's largest cities, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The Atlantic Forest has a variety of forest biomes from rainforest, humid tropical forests, low forests, and Mangrove swamps. It is a rainforest that is not as hot as the Amazon.

There are an enormous rich variety of plants and animals. An extraordinary number of species are found only in this are and nowhere else in the world. It contains a rich variety of flora and fauna. More than 50% of the trees and plants found here are only located in this area.
